SAN FRANCISCO: India’s real estate sector is seeing a boom these days and prestigious companies are pooling in strength to tap bigger opportunities and to achieve higher growth. A number of such real estate companies are gathering in the US for the upcoming Horizon Real Estate Expo being held in New York and California.
The global real-estate consulting group Knight Frank has ranked India 5th in the list of 30 emerging retail markets and predicted predicted an impressive 20 per cent growth rate for the organized retail segment by 2010. The organized segment is expected to grow from a mere 2 per cent to 20 per cent by the end of the decade, it said. Among the companies gathering in the US to showcase their products, the Parsvanath Group, the Uppal’s and Ansal Housing offer special features for NRIs as well as US companies waiting to invest in the real sector.
Both the groups have a pan India presence.
